December Goals.

Many of the people around me have begun decorating for Christmas. I haven't, but my decor is just sitting in two trash bags waiting on me.

Just waiting.

Normally I am the one itching to decorate for Christmas.

Normally I am the one prepping Christmas gifts before Thanksgiving. Normally I am the one in the holiday spirit.

But for some reason this year, I am just not ready to give up the Fall. My heart is not ready for it. I think I am going to wait until Thanksgiving night to decorate our home for Christmas.

However, I am super ready to start making gifts. This year is the year of homemade gifts. Even more so than usual. I plan on making Cinnamon Salt Dough ornaments (recipe here), and plain salt dough ornaments.

Here are some of my goals for this Christmas season:

- Make ornaments that will be sentimental gifts for years to come.

- Wrap up 2020 with a successful business venture.

- Spend many days exploring and foraging in the woods.

- Look for inspiration for 2021.

- Do a photography project for Lady of the Farm.

- Put together a gingerbread house.

- Drink Hot Chocolate like it's going out of style.

- Create a Christmas Music Playlist to play Thanksgiving Night while decorating.

- Buy a Christmas tree.

- Keep you updated on our elf.

- Drive to see Christmas Lights.

- Have a photo in front of our Christmas tree.

- Family Photos.

- Read Little House on the Prairie Christmas Book.

Those are a few of my goals for this season, what are some things on your bucket list this December?

I am now 60 years old. From ever since I can remember we always decorated for Christmas on Thanksgiving evening. After the dinner around 2 the whole family gets in vehicles & goes to the Christmas Tree Farm. Everyone picks out trees for their homes! It’s just a fun family thing to do since family is together already. Makes for a great tradition too.
