The Plotting & Planning of a Garden.

I had filled at least thirteen pages of my journal with the plans for my garden and hen house area.
I wanted to combine my garden, my sitting area, and my chickens all somehow but I wasn't sure exactly how I'd do that.
"My coop here, raised beds there."
I scribbled and drew details. Scribbled some more then tore a page out and started over.
"Pumpkin patch here. Corn here. Or maybe here."
I tapped my pen on the paper, "Eh, don't like that either."
Planning a garden is much like planning a book. You plot the entire thing out. You emphasize on the details you HAVE to have in there then the rest of the story is just what happens. I can draw all this out, but things will still change and mold into my perfect garden.
I knew I had to have a coop; a sitting area and I'd love to sit amongst the garden. That's the best part. Follow along to see where and how it all goes. Here is the design for the garden area that I have so far. I want to have the middle part in front of the coop for the raised beds (companion planting - 1,000%), then the sides for pumpkins, corn, & possibly wheat. (I want to be able to make some wheat flour - no idea how but it'll be in the works for the future.) Then the sitting area by the chicken coop so I can have a view of the garden and the hens. I also want a small pool near the sitting area. The perfect Summer & Fall getaway = the garden area!
