Little Town, Little House.

It's such a weary, dreary day here in our little town and I am loving it. The farmer can't work so he's staying close to the house today. We are spending time in our guest room. It's set up as a whimsical, child-like bedroom. Quilts on the bed, a dollhouse, a sewing table, books everywhere, a cowhide rug, and so much more. It's a beautiful room with such a calming aesthetic. I come in here to get away from the rest of the house. I come here to read and write and even occasionally nap.

Today, as the light rain taps on the roof, the farmer and Abbie nap on the bed, Baxter stares out the window, and Clementine tries to get comfy on the bed. I, however, am wide awake. I am sitting in my Victorian rocker by the window glancing out every few moments and thinking of reading my Little House on the Prairie book. I am a sucker for Little House on the Prairie. My mom was raised on it, I was raised on it, and my children will be raised on it.

Wouldn't a Little House blog series be fun?
