Ten Ways to Slow Down in the Autumn.

Fall is here and oh how wonderful it truly is. The crispness of the air, the smell of cinnamon filling the house, and the leaves all falling and covering the ground in a blanket of Autumn colors.

Lately, I have begun to slow down, life has begun to slow down. The past month has felt like a "hurry up and wait" kind of deal. It feels odd, but kind of comforting at the same time. Weird. Anyway, the reason I mention that is because I want so badly to slow down and enjoy life. This year flew by and now I'm left wondering, "where did it go?" So here is my slow living checklist for this Fall. How many of these slow living items have you done?

  • Visit a pumpkin patch & carve a Pumpkin.

  • Have a picnic and enjoy the cooler air.

  • Eat seasonally.

  • Go to a Fall Farmer's Market.

  • Bake a pie. Apple pie, chicken pot pie, whatever floats your boat!

  • Cook more in a slow cooker.

  • Invite friends over for a bonfire.

  • Take a nature walk on a trail or through the woods.

  • Visit a Fall Festival.

  • Make some stew.
