"The Farmer Minds the House"

I have to brag on my husband a teeny tiny bit! If I do it too much, it'll go to his head and I'll hear about it for the rest of the year LOL!

Ever since I quit my job to be a full-time farm wife, I have done everything in my power to keep up with our home. The laundry, the dishes, the animals, the gardening, and my own personal business. It gets pretty overwhelming at times. When working at the hotel, I would spend the mornings before working planning how I would run my home and I had this huge impressive plan and schedule, and then my new job as a farmwife began and I was so overwhelmed. Things don't always get done as I plan, and that's okay, right?

Well, in the past week I ran into some health problems (You've probably noticed more posting on social media). Nothing major just warranted extra rest and less moving around. So, the farmer kicked into husband mode full force. He has washed dishes, cleaned the house, done laundry, fixed dinner, bought lunch, he has done everything in his power to make sure I heal up perfectly. He has been such a major help this week, I never knew he had it in him LOL!

Granted, it's not how I would do it all, but I can't complain.

It is kind of strange at the same time to see him doing all my work, at the end of the day yesterday he sat at the dinner table and I asked him how he was feeling, and all he could say was, "Tired."

This week has truly reminded me of the story my mom read to me as a child called "Goofy minds the house" or something like that. Where Goofy and his wife switch jobs and both agree in the end that they should just stick to the jobs they had and that they both understood how hard the other worked. Well, I think The Farmer & I are both agreeing it's time to get back to our normal routine.

But, seriously, the farmer has been incredible this week!
